Introduction

Shi Ziqing, born in 1939 in Jinjiang, Quanzhou, Fujian Province, China. In 1957 he moved to Hong Kong, where he studied at United College and Jinghua Chinese Medicine Hospital. In 1959 he wrote and directed the drama "Chai Tou Feng," whose public performance served as a fundraiser for the Fujian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. In 1960 he founded the Hong Kong Jimei Overseas School and served as principal. He married Ms. Wu Shumin.

In 1967 he ended his teaching career and turned to business, becoming chairman of the board of Hengtong Resources Group Limited and chairman of Shanghai Guangda Real Estate Co., Ltd. In 1983 he initiated the Hong Kong Alumni Association of Shiguang Secondary School, serving as Permanent Honorary President; in 1984 he initiated the Hong Kong Jinjiang Association, serving as vice president and president, and is currently the Permanent Honorary President.

Since 1985 he has invested in the mainland, establishing more than ten factories and large real estate projects in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Fujian, and other areas, and participating in infrastructure projects such as bridges, tunnels, and national highways, with total investment amounting to hundreds of millions of yuan. In 1985 he became a member of the Fujian Provincial CPPCC (Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference).

In 1992 he became a director and visiting professor at Huaqiao University, and published a calligraphy monograph titled Zi Qing Mo Qu; from 1993 to 1999 he served as a member of the National CPPCC. In 1994 he became chairman of Hong Kong Mirror Newspaper Culture Enterprises Ltd.; in 1999 he was awarded the title of Justice of the Peace by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. He has donated funds to establish educational foundations, teaching buildings and various public welfare projects, with total donations totaling tens of millions of Hong Kong dollars.

In 2003 he became vice chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce; in 2006 he funded the construction of Ziqing Building at Nanjing University; in 2007 he received the World Outstanding Chinese Charity Award from the World Chinese Charity Foundation; from 2008 he has served as deputy director of the CPPCC Culture, History and Study Committee and as a member of the 11th CPPCC National Committee. In 2023 he was awarded the Grand Bauhinia Medal by the Hong Kong SAR Government.

Family: wife Wu Shumin; elder son Shi Rongyi, second son Shi Ronghuai, third son Shi Rongheng, fourth son Shi Rongxin, and several grandchildren.
