About PeopleTrace

Learn more about the PeopleTrace mission, story, and team.

Project Origin

When dealing with complex interpersonal data, We found that existing tools have significant limitations in visualizing non-linear relationships and large-scale data nodes. PeopleTrace was created to provide a professional, intuitive, and fully open platform where family stories are preserved through structured data with clarity and permanence.

What We Do

We build high-performance dynamic relationship networks using optimized frontend algorithms and the Astro framework. PeopleTrace supports multi-language rendering and features a real-time data maintenance system. We are committed to building a living database that ensures sub-second loading speeds, even for complex models spanning thousands of individuals.

Open Source & Sharing

Data openness is at the heart of this project. PeopleTrace firmly believes in the value of information sharing: all raw data on this site is free to access. We employ transparent data structures to facilitate secondary development by researchers and developers, collectively advancing the digitalization of family history.

Community Collaboration

This is an open collaboration project for everyone. While all data is freely viewable, contributing new data or modifying existing records requires a login via the homepage. We welcome you to improve these lineages by correcting errors or adding new persons through our verified editing system.
