Shi Ronghuai, male, born in Hong Kong and a native Hong Konger, comes from the patriotic entrepreneur Shi Ziqing family. His brothers Shi Rongyi, Shi Rongheng, and Shi Rongxin are also active in Hong Kong’s business and political circles. He studied in the United States in his early years and graduated from the University of Wisconsin.

In terms of political duties, Shi Ronghuai has served as deputy director of the Population, Resources and Environment Committee of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) since March 2018, and in January 2023 was elected as a Standing Committee member of the 14th CPPCC. With regard to the Beijing Municipal CPPCC, he has served as a Standing Committee member for the 11th and 12th sessions, and in January 2023 became a member of the 14th session.

In social roles, Shi Ronghuai served as president of the Chinese Manufacturers’ Association of Hong Kong from 2011 to 2015, and is the current permanent honorary president of the Association. Since July 2022, he has served as president of the Hong Kong-Beijing Exchange and Cooperation Association, promoting exchanges and cooperation between Beijing and Hong Kong.

In terms of honors, Shi Ronghuai was awarded the 3rd Beijing Overseas Chinese “Jinghua Award” in October 2018. In addition, he had been conferred the title of Knight Bachelor (Sir) by September 2019.
