Introduction
Junko Oda (Oda Atsuko, born March 9, 1884 – June 13, 1911) was a Japanese princess and the wife of Oda Hidemitsu. During her time as a member of the imperial family, she held the title Princess Junko.
Biography
Junko Oda was born as the ninth daughter of Prince Chaho Kuni. Her mother was Uta Terao, a concubine.
On November 27, 1901 (Meiji 34), she married Viscount Hidemitsu Oda.
Family
Her father was Prince Chaho Kuni, and her mother was Uta Terao.
She had a full sister, Prince Senshiko (Prince Konoe Senshiko).
Her husband was Viscount Hidemitsu Oda, and their children included:
- Nobukazu (born 1902): inherited the viscount title but died young.
- Nagatoshi (born 1904): inherited the title after his brother’s early death.
- Nobasada (born 1905)
- Toyoko (born 1906): wife of Jiro Ohara
Death
Junko Oda died on June 13, 1911.
