Introduction
Toshikata Ōkubo (1878–1958) was a Japanese individual descended from a prominent political lineage, being the son of Ōkubo Toshimichi, one of the key leaders of the Meiji Restoration and regarded as a founder of modern Japan. His familial connections include Makino Nobuaki, a Japanese politician, who is the son of Ōkubo Toshimichi, and Yukiko Yoshida, the daughter of Makino Nobuaki. Yukiko Yoshida was the mother of Kazuko Asō, who in turn was the mother of Tarō Asō, a former Prime Minister of Japan.
