Lydia Harrison Morris

Lydia Harrison Morris, born in 1765 and deceased in 1838, is the matriarch in a familial lineage that includes William Archibald Carter, a descendant of hers and the grandfather of U.S. President Jimmy Carter. Ann Ainsley, her daughter, was born in 1801 and died in 1848. Ann Ainsley's son, Littleberry Walker Carter, was born in 1832 and died on November 28, 1873. Littleberry Walker Carter's son, James Earl Carter Sr., was an American politician who lived from 1894 to 1953, and he was the father of Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, serving from 1977 to 1981.
