Introduction
Zhang Kaiyi, born in 1899 in Juye County, Heze City, Shandong Province, was the father of Zhang Chunqiao.
He graduated from Shandong Provincial Medical School and worked in the medical field.
He once served as a major military doctor in the 28th Division of the Kuomintang and also held posts such as director of the Gaotang County Post Office in Shandong.
During the wartime period, he worked under the Japanese occupation government, serving as Chief Clerk of the Health Section of the Jinan Police Department and as Chief Medical Officer of the 3rd Security Regiment in Shandong.
After Japan's surrender, he became director of the Anti-Smoking Hospital under the Kuomintang Jinan Municipal Government, continuing his involvement in medical and public health work.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he also worked at the Jinan Public Security Hospital.
