Zhang Peiying (1928–1974) was the younger sister of Zhang Chunqiao.
In August 1948, she joined the revolutionary movement, and in November 1954, she became a member of the Chinese Communist Party.
She worked for a long time within the Shanghai First Medical College system. Her career began at the college’s obstetrics and gynecology hospital, where she served as a midwife and head midwife, while also actively engaging in Party and youth work, successively holding positions such as Youth League branch organizational committee member, trade union chair, and Party branch secretary.
Starting in 1970, she became deputy head of the Education Revolution Group at the First Medical College, while also serving as Party branch secretary of the college office and political instructor of the militia company, demonstrating both professional expertise and Party management experience.
In 1974, she passed away due to an anesthesia accident during surgery.
