Zhang Xiezhong was the grandfather of Zhang Chunqiao.
He inherited the position of “Guishu” at the Juye County yamen and later served as the director of the Land Tax Collection Office.
He passed away in 1946.
In January 1956, the Juye County Chengguan District Committee of the Chinese Communist Party identified him as a “landlord who had slipped through the net,” and his family’s property, consisting of seven earthen houses and six tiled houses, was confiscated.
