Catherine Elliston, who lived from 1735 to 1804, was the mother of Edward James Eliot, a British politician who lived from 1758 to 1797. She was married to Lady Harriet Pitt, the daughter of Hester Pitt, Countess of Chatham, and the wife of Edward James Eliot. William Pitt the Younger, a British statesman from 1759 to 1806, was the son of Hester Pitt, Countess of Chatham.
