Jason Zhang

Zhang Jie, born on December 20, 1979, in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China, is a Chinese pop singer. In 2004, he won the grand championship on the reality show "I Am a Singer" aired on Dragon TV, and subsequently signed with Universal Music Group. His first personal album, "First Album," was released in 2005 and received widespread attention and recognition. Since then, he has continuously released musical works, accumulated a large fan base, and is regarded as one of the most influential male singers in mainland China.

In his early years, Zhang Jie studied at Sichuan Normal University, during which he worked as a resident singer in Chengdu and received multiple honors as a "Three Good Student." In 2003, he participated in the "MTV-Samsung Anycall Campus New Air National Singer Contest" and the Warner Artist Creation Selection, winning second place in the finals and entering the top 24 nationwide. In 2004, with his original song "Love of the North Star," he won the champion on Dragon TV's "I Am a Singer" and became the first Mainland Chinese singer signed by Universal Records in Greater China.

In his music career, Zhang Jie has won multiple prestigious awards including "Most Popular Male Singer in Mainland China" and "Most Influential Singer in Asia." His albums such as "Tomorrow After," "Love Me Again," the "Crossing Trilogy," and "This Is Love" have all received high acclaim. He also frequently holds live concerts, touring in cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Los Angeles, establishing himself as a prominent live performer in the Chinese music scene.

In his personal life, Zhang Jie married Xie Na in 2011, and they welcomed twin daughters in 2018. In 2019, he began serving as a specially appointed vocal teacher at Shanghai Theatre Academy's Film College, continually enhancing his professional skills.
