Yao Mingrui (1945 – September 26, 2009) was the eldest daughter of Yao Yilin, former Vice Premier of the State Council of China and member of the CCP Politburo Standing Committee, and his first wife Zhou Bin (originally named Zhang Shuhua).

In her family life, Yao Mingrui had a daughter, Liu Xinyang (January 23, 1971 – August 3, 2017), who sadly passed away from cancer. Her son-in-law, Hong Ning, holds a master’s degree and became a partner at Goldman Sachs in 2010.
