Introduction

Bai Baihe, born on August 20, 1980, is from Qingdao, Shandong Province. She spent her childhood in Qingdao and began studying at Wendeng Road Primary School in Qingdao in 1990, where she performed exceptionally well, excelling in singing and dancing, and served as a key member of the class’s arts team. In 1996, at the age of only 12, Bai Baihe entered the affiliated middle school of Beijing Dance Academy to study. In 2000, director Zhang Yimou held an audition at her school for the film "Happiness Time." Although she was not cast, her impromptu performance left a good impression on him. Subsequently, Zhang Yimou advised her to audition for the Central Academy of Drama or Beijing Film Academy. In the end, she was selected by director Guan Jinpeng and became the only female artist signed by him.

In September 2002, Bai Baihe was admitted to the Central Academy of Drama, studying in the Musical Comedy Department of the 2002 undergraduate performance program. Her acting career began in 2006 when she co-starred in her first film, "Days Related to Youth," playing the enthusiastic and helpful Qiao Qiao. In 2007, she participated in the urban emotional drama "Where Is Happiness," portraying the kind-hearted Gan Lu. In 2009, she appeared in Zhao Baogang's youth inspirational drama "Who Has Authority Over My Youth," playing the web novelist Lei Lei.

In 2010, she played the talented actress Dong Nan in the family drama "Lying Lover" and also performed the theme song. In 2011, she starred in the urban love film "Gravity" and challenged the villain role of Zhao Wen. In 2012, she gained widespread recognition for her role as Huang Xiaoxian in the film "Love is Not Blind," for which she was nominated for Best Actress at the 31st Hundred Flowers Awards. The film earned approximately 350 million yuan RMB at the box office. Additionally, she played important roles in the TV dramas "The Nth Power of Home" and "Fallen."

In 2013, Bai Baihe starred in the films "Breakup Contract," "The Stolen Years," and "Private Number," which significantly elevated her acting career. In 2014, she starred in the film "Plastic Surgery Diaries." In 2015, she led the youth inspirational drama "Growing Up," and the same year, her film "Monster Hunt" was released. It won her the Best Actress award at the 13th Changchun Film Festival and set a box office record of 2.44 billion yuan RMB. During this period, she gradually transitioned from actress to producer and entrepreneur, founding Bai Baihe Studio.

From 2016 to 2018, Bai Baihe participated in and won awards at numerous domestic and international film festivals, including the Golden Rooster and Huabiao Awards. She appeared in well-known films such as "Go Away Mr. Tumor," "Monster Hunt 2," and "Love Everlasting." She also explored crossover projects in voice acting, music, and variety shows.

In her personal life, Bai Baihe married singer Chen Yufan in 2006, with whom she has one child. They announced their divorce in 2017. She actively participates in public welfare and charity work, serving as a goodwill ambassador and donating multiple times to support disaster-affected areas and vulnerable groups. In 2024, she publicly announced the passing of her grandmother, expressing her mourning.
