Introduction

Zhang Silin, born in the 1980s, is a graduate of the Central Academy of Drama. Since entering the entertainment industry, he participated in the 2001 TV drama "My True Friend," playing the role of Zhang Yaoyu. Subsequently, Zhang gradually shifted toward directing, and on December 23, 2013, co-directed the romantic comedy "The Matter of Love" with Tan Langchang and Zhu Dongning. The series is adapted from the novel "Sè Nǚ Rìjì," starring Du Chun, Tong Liya, and Xue Jianning.

In 2016, Zhang released several works. On May 10, his directed TV series "Perfect Youth of That Year," written by Wang Chang and starring Liu Shishi and Zheng Kai, premiered in mainland China. That year, he also filmed the series "Dear Archimedes," adapted from the same-named detective novel by Jiu Yue Xi, and showcased a concept trailer at the Ningmeng Pictures annual project launch. Additionally, in June 2018, Zhang collaborated with Liu Haibo and Ye Zhaoyi to complete filming of the TV drama "Nan Yanzhai Biliu," which was renamed "A Song San Sheng" in February 2022.

On May 19, 2019, Zhang directed the TV series "My True Friend," which premiered on Dragon TV and Zhejiang TV. The series depicts the life experiences of a real estate agent in both the workplace and family, as well as how homes witness social and familial changes. After its debut, the show received widespread attention and praise both domestically and internationally, being broadcast simultaneously in 31 countries and regions, with excellent ratings and online feedback.

On November 2, 2022, his medical emotional suspense drama "Conscious" launched on iQIYI and Tencent Video, centered around neurology, achieving a high viewership ranking. On March 29, 2024, his new work "Riding the Waves" aired across multiple platforms, receiving positive audience feedback and topping viewership and trending lists on various sites.

On June 25, 2024, Zhang started filming a new drama titled "Footprints," starring Tong Yao, Cheng Lei, and Liu Yijun, which was completed on September 30. Aside from his career, Zhang’s private relationship with Bai Baihe has also attracted media attention multiple times; the two have been photographed traveling together several times since 2019, and their relationship is considered stable by the media.
