Richard Oldfield (1909β1972) was married to Lady Kathleen Balfour, the daughter of Gerald Balfour, the 2nd Earl of Balfour, and Lady Elizabeth Bulwer-Lytton. Gerald Balfour, who was the son of Lady Blanche Gascoyne-Cecil, was a British politician and the grandson of Lady Blanche Gascoyne-Cecil, who was the daughter of Lady Blanche Gascoyne-Cecil and the sister of Arthur Balfour, the British Prime Minister and Conservative politician.
