Margaret Oldfield, born in 1939, is the daughter of Lady Kathleen Balfour, who was the daughter of Gerald Balfour, the 2nd Earl of Balfour. Gerald Balfour was the son of Lady Blanche Gascoyne-Cecil and the grandson of Arthur Balfour, a British Prime Minister and Conservative politician. Lady Blanche Gascoyne-Cecil died in 1872, and Lady Kathleen Balfour lived from 1912 to 1996.
