Introduction
Luo Dongjin, born in 1959, is a citizen of the People's Republic of China.
He joined the People's Liberation Army of China in 1959 and graduated in 1965 from Harbin Military Engineering Institute with a major in missile engineering. During his studies, he acquired professional knowledge related to missile technology and engineering.
After graduation, Luo Dongjin worked at the 25th Research Institute of the Seventh Machinery Industry Department, serving as a technician responsible for industrial development of intercontinental and space launch missiles. He gradually rose through the ranks, serving in 1974 as a staff member in the Scientific Research Department of the Artillery Command of the People's Liberation Army.
By 1976, he became a staff member of the Science and Technology Department of the Second Artillery Force of the PLA. Subsequently, he held positions as Deputy Director and Director of the research office at the second research institute of the same force, accumulating rich technical and managerial experience.
In 1983, Luo Dongjin was appointed as the Director of the Political Department of the Technical Equipment Department of the Second Artillery Force. Four years later, in 1987, he became the Deputy Political Commissar of a base within the force.
In June 1990, he was promoted to Political Commissar of the Logistics Department of the Second Artillery Force and served in this position until November 1997. He then served as Deputy Political Commissar of the Second Artillery Force until November 2002.
In social roles, Luo Dongjin has served as President of the Beijing Eighth Route Army Shandong Anti-Japanese Base Research Association and as an Advisor to the China Old Areas Construction Promotion Association.
Regarding military ranks, Luo Dongjin was awarded the rank of Major General in September 1988, and promoted to Lieutenant General in July 1999.
Family-wise, Luo Dongjin is the son of Marshal Luo Ronghuan, a founding father of China and the first principal of the August First School. His wife is Pan Zhongwen; details about his children are not specified.
