Lady Frances Carteret (1718β1788) was the daughter of John Carteret, 2nd Earl Granville, a British statesman who lived from 1690 to 1763. She was the sister of Lady Sophia Carteret, who was the wife of William Petty, the 2nd Earl of Shelburne and British Prime Minister from 1737 to 1805.
