Introduction
Lady Charlotte FitzMaurice, who died in 1774, was the daughter of Thomas FitzMaurice, 1st Earl of Kerry. She was also the sister of John Petty, 1st Earl of Shelburne, and the aunt of William Petty, 2nd Earl of Shelburne. William Petty served as British Prime Minister from 1737 to 1805.
