Prince Frederick Of Great Britain

Prince Frederick William of Great Britain was born on 13 May 1750 at Leicester House in Westminster, London. He was the youngest child of Frederick, Prince of Wales, and Princess Augusta of Saxe-Gotha. As a grandchild of King George II, he was a member of the British royal family during the 18th century. His father, Frederick, Prince of Wales, was the eldest son of King George II and Caroline of Ansbach. His mother was Augusta of Saxe-Gotha.

Prince Frederick William's christening took place on 17 June 1750 at Leicester House. The Bishop of Oxford, Thomas Secker, officiated the ceremony. His godparents included his brother Prince George, his maternal uncle Prince Wilhelm of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg, and his sister Princess Augusta.

The prince's place of death was Leicester House, where he died on 29 December 1765 at the age of 15. He was subsequently buried at Westminster Abbey in London.

Following his death, Prince Frederick William was posthumously granted arms of the kingdom that were differenced by a label argent of five points. The central point bore a fleur-de-lys azure, while each of the other four points displayed a red rose gules.
