Ye Xuanji (1940-2015), native of Meizhou, Guangdong, was the younger brother of Marshal Ye Jianying. His ex-wife was Lü Tongyan, the daughter of founding General Lü Zhengcao. He previously served as Deputy General Manager of the Real Estate Department at CITIC Group, Chairman of Hong Kong Ye Group, General Manager of CITIC Hong Kong Group, and Chairman of Zhengtian Technology Group Holdings. On November 26, 2015, he passed away in Guangzhou due to illness at the age of 75. To commemorate the 30th anniversary of China's reform and opening-up, he recalled Ye Jianying's experiences around the Third Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee, emphasizing the fragmented nature of his memories. As Deputy General Manager of CITIC Real Estate, he participated in the construction of Beijing International, China's first high-end international office building, which was leased to 98 foreign companies at market rates, breaking the conventions of planned economy rent standards and quickly recouping the investment, demonstrating the success of market principles. His children include his eldest son Ye Xinyuan, second son Ye Xinhua, eldest daughter Ye Lianru, and second daughter Ye Xinya.
