Introduction
Li Debin, born in 1567 and died in 1628, was one of the consorts of Emperor Shenzong of the Ming Dynasty. She was born in Xiangfu County, Kaifeng Prefecture, Henan Province. Her father was Li Shiliang and her mother was Lady Lei. Due to her noble status, Li Shiliang was granted the rank of Fifth Grade Zhengwei Yin Army Guard, titled Zheng Qianhu.
She was born on the 19th day of the 11th month in the first year of Longqing (1567), during the hour of Zi. In the ninth year of Wanli (1581), she was selected into the inner court; in the tenth year of Wanli (1582), she was granted the title of De Pin (Virtuous Consort). On the 20th day of the seventh month in the twelfth year of Wanli (1584), she gave birth to Princess Xianju Zhu Xuanji; she later bore Princess Taishun Zhu Xuanji and Princess Xiangshan Zhu Xuanfeng. All three princesses died young and did not have the chance to accompany their mother for long.
Li Debin was never promoted to higher ranks during her lifetime and did not receive special favor. She passed away on the 18th day of the eighth month in the first year of Chongzhen (1628), at the age of 62. She was buried on the 20th day of the sixth month in the second year of Chongzhen (1628).
