Introduction
Princess Xianju (1584–1585), named Zhu Xuanji, was a princess of the Ming Dynasty. She was the fifth daughter of Emperor Shenzong of Ming, and her mother was Lady Li De. The princess was born on the 20th day of the 7th month of the twelfth year of the Wanli Emperor's reign. She died before her half-sister, Princess Yunmeng, only fourteen days later, on the 30th of December. Emperor Shenzong expressed regret over her death. The following May, Princess Xianju was buried at Jinshan. Her sisters, Princess Jingle, Princess Yunmeng, Princess Lingqiu, and Princess Yunhe, were also later buried in the Jinshan area.
