He received the "Excellent Host and Announcer" award at CCTV in 2006 and 2010, and was named one of the "Top Ten TV Hosts" by CCTV in 2015 and 2016.

Sashi Gui's daughter is Sa Beina, born in 1980. She has been fond of dancing since childhood, worked as a dance teacher, and later transitioned into administrative work. Her daughter-in-law, Li Bai, formerly known as Lisa, was born in Liverpool, UK. She holds Canadian nationality and holds a PhD in Education from Peking University.
