Introduction

Sa Beining, born in 1976, is from Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province. His ancestral home is in Hexian, Anhui, and he was raised in Wuhan, Hubei. His father, Sa Shiguo, was transferred to work at the Wuhan People's Art Theater (now Wuhan Drama Theatre), and his mother, Deng Yajuan, graduated from Shenyang Conservatory of Music. Among his family members is a younger sister named Sa Beina. Sa Beining's family background is quite special—both parents are involved in literary and artistic work in the military, which had a certain influence on his early growth.

Academically, Sa Beining attended Wuhan No.1 High School in Wuhan. During middle school, he demonstrated strong abilities in speech and performance, and he represented his school in the city's middle school speech competitions, winning first place. In his third year of high school, he was invited to participate in Peking University’s winter camp, where he successfully passed the reporting performance with the song "Little White Poplar." Three months before the college entrance examination, he received an admission notice from Peking University and was directly admitted to the Law Department of Peking University. During university, he served as station director and announcer at the radio station, joined the drama club in his sophomore year, and won second prize in the China Central Television "Ideal Cup" competition. In his junior year, he served as the chorus leader and led his team to win first place in an international competition. In his senior year, he was recommended to pursue graduate studies at Peking University Law School.

In the summer of 1997, Sa Beining participated in Peking University’s winter camp and performed outstandingly. On January 2, 1999, he became one of the first hosts of CCTV’s legal program "Today’s Law," and with the broadcast of the show, he gradually gained public recognition. While hosting "Today’s Law," Sa Beining won numerous awards in domestic and international hosting competitions, including first place at the China Television Legal Program Host Competition in 2000, and in 2001, he won the "Rongshida" Cup National Television Host Competition championship. He was also appointed "Legal Aid Image Ambassador" by the Ministry of Justice.

From 2004 to 2005, he was awarded the titles of Excellent Announcer and Host of CCTV for two consecutive years. In 2006, he hosted the "Top Ten Legal Personalities of 2005" awards ceremony for the "Thirty and Standing" series and received the "Golden Microphone Award" for his television hosting work. The same year, he participated in CCTV’s Spring Festival Gala as a performer, delivering a poetry recitation.

Starting from 2008, Sa Beining gradually expanded into variety shows and cultural programs, becoming a well-known CCTV host. In 2012, he made his first appearance on the CCTV New Year’s Gala, marking his rising status within CCTV. Since then, he has hosted several significant programs, such as "Kaitangla" and "Classical Chanting," and repeatedly received the highest hosting honor, the "Golden Microphone Award."

In recent years, Sa Beining’s hosting range has expanded to include cultural, public welfare, variety, and evening galas. From 2022 to 2024, he has consecutively hosted CCTV’s Spring Festival Gala and Mid-Autumn Festival Gala, demonstrating his versatile hosting abilities. In 2024, he hosted multiple cultural and public welfare programs and participated as a host or guest in several important events. Additionally, Sa Beining actively engages in social公益事业, serving as ambassador for various公益 projects, including pangolin conservation and pandemic prevention efforts.

Sa Beining’s career has experienced multiple phases, gradually developing into one of China’s prominent television hosts, earning numerous industry honors.
