Jiang Shixi (August 19, 1870 – September 22, 1933), originally named Jiang Shaoyue and also known as Jiang Han, was a native of Jiangcun, Baidi Town, Jingde County, Ningguo Prefecture, Anhui Province, during the Qing Dynasty. He was born in Jiangdu County and was the grandfather of Jiang Zemin, the third-generation highest leader of the People's Republic of China. In his early years, he went to Huizhou Prefecture in southern Anhui (his registered residence was in Wuyuan, Huizhou Prefecture) to take the imperial examination for xiucai (a scholar degree). Later, he studied traditional Chinese medicine in Dinggou Town, Jiangdu County, Jiangsu Province. He passed away in Yangzhou on September 22, 1933, and was buried in the outskirts of Xiannü Temple in Jiangdu County.
