Introduction

King Heng Gong Zhu Youhuai, the seventh son of Ming Emperor Xianzong, was born on December 8, 1479, and died on August 30, 1538. In the 23rd year of the Chenghua reign (1487), he was enfeoffed as King of Heng. In the 12th year of the Hongzhi reign (1499), he took up residence in Qingzhou. He passed away in the 17th year of the Jiajing reign (1538) at the age of 58, and was posthumously titled King Heng Gong. His son, Zhu Huo Tan, inherited the title of King of Heng.

In cultural aspects, members of the Ming imperial family sometimes supervised or personally crafted guqin. Zhu Youhuai, along with Ning Xianwang Zhu Quan, Yidanwang Zhu Youbin, Luminwang Zhu Changyan, and Hengzhuangwang Zhu Huo Tan, are collectively known as the "Four Kings' Guqin."

Regarding family, King Heng Gong had wife Consort Shen, second consort Lady Ma, and several concubines, including Lady Zhu, Lady Hou, Lady Guo, Lady Sun, Lady Zong, and Lady Dai. His sons included King Heng Zhuang Zhu Huo Tan, King Yutian Zhu Huo Tong, King Xinle Zhu Huo Lian, King Gaotang Zhu Huo Ying, King Qidong Zhu Huo Bing, King Shaoling Zhu Huo Hui, and King Hanyang Zhu Huo Li. He also had multiple daughters, including Princess Wanping, Princess Yongcheng, Princess Qingwan, Princess Shouguang, Princess Zhangqiu, Princess Fangshan, Princess Xin'an, and other daughters who had not yet been granted titles.
