Li Shengyuan

Li Shengyuan, male, born in the People's Republic of China, was the maternal grandfather of Hu Jintao, the former President of China. There are no detailed records of his specific date of birth or place of birth. Li Shengyuan was engaged in industrial and commercial activities; his family was relatively wealthy, owning extensive land resources, including several hundred acres of good farmland locally, as well as properties in Taizhou and Dongtai.

In terms of family education, Li Shengyuan demonstrated a relatively progressive attitude. According to records, he supported and valued his children's pursuit of modern education. He was aware of Ma Xingsheng, a student at Nantong Girls' Normal School (who later married artist Gao Xun from Rugao), and actively assisted his daughter's academic development. Specifically, he sought help from Ma's family and arranged for Ma Xingsheng to introduce his daughter to study at Nantong Middle School. Later, he used a small boat to ferry his daughter and Li Wenrui to Haian.

Regarding his personal life, Li Shengyuan's spouse was Mrs. Qian, both of whom were regarded as virtuous and diligent housewives. His second daughter was named Li Wenrui. Among family members, his son-in-law was Hu Zengyu. The most prominent among his grandchildren is Hu Jintao, who served as a national leader and holds an important position in Chinese political history.
