Li Xiuwen (1907–1946), a native of Chang'an Town, Dongguan, Guangdong, was a renowned patriotic democratic figure and the wife of General Ye Ting. She was born into a wealthy family in Macau. In 1924, she met Ye Ting, and they married the following year, sharing experiences during the Northern Expedition and the War of Resistance. After marriage, she made significant contributions to the economic support of the New Fourth Army and the anti-Japanese resistance, even personally escorting weapons to aid the troops. Following the Anhui Incident, when Ye Ting was imprisoned, she tirelessly worked to rescue him and endured hardship with her family. After Ye Ting was released from prison in 1946, the couple reunited and shortly thereafter set out for Yan'an. Tragically, they died in a plane crash on Heichashan in Shanxi at the age of 39. Li Xiuwen's life bore witness to the trials of the revolution, and together with Ye Ting, she authored a deeply moving chapter of history.
