Ye Zhengming (April 13, 1931 – January 24, 2003), originally named Ye Fulin, was from Huiyang, Guangdong. He was the second son of Ye Ting and a renowned pioneer in the overall design of China's first-generation surface-to-air missile systems. In 1948, he studied aircraft design at the Moscow Aviation Institute in the Soviet Union. After graduating in 1957, he returned to China and participated in the reverse engineering of the "543" missile system and the overall design of the HQ series missiles, making significant contributions to China's missile development and national defense modernization. He served as the director of the China Foreign Application Technology Exchange Promotion Association and actively promoted international technological exchanges after the reform and opening up. During the Cultural Revolution, he was persecuted but later continued to dedicate himself to national defense. His work achievements earned him multiple national awards. He passed away in Beijing in 2003 due to a sudden cerebral hemorrhage at the age of 72.

He was married to the famous actress Angel. They had one son and one daughter. His son, Ye Daying, inherited his mother's profession and became a well-known Chinese director. His daughter, Ye Xiaoyan, served as the chairperson of the Hong Kong Skating Union and is the daughter of Li Xiaoyong, son of former State Council Premier Li Peng. Ye Dandan, also known as Li Ye, made history by winning a bronze medal at the Asian Figure Skating Championships—Hong Kong’s first such achievement. She married Liu Shuran, who is the grandson of Vice Premier Gu Mu and currently serves as the chairman of the NGCC (Next Generation China Collaborative).
