Introduction

Ai Hosokawa (née Yonezawa; born 1972 -) is a Japanese culinary artist and food researcher. She is from Kanagawa Prefecture.

From childhood, she was exposed to cookbooks and cooking magazines published by her mother, which inspired her to pursue a career in cooking.

While attending Sacred Heart Women's University, she aimed to become an editor of a cooking magazine through part-time work at a publishing house, during which she also took lessons at the Yoko Arimoto Culinary School. This experience prompted her to travel to Italy after graduating from university.

Upon returning to Japan, she has published various culinary works and established cooking classes. In 2009, she married Yoshimitsu Hosokawa, the eldest son of Morihiro Hosokawa, and subsequently moved to Kumamoto Prefecture.

Her family includes her husband, Yoshimitsu Hosokawa, and their daughter, with whom she lives.

She has authored several books, published under her maiden name, Ai Yonezawa, as well as under her married name, Ai Hosokawa.

Her works under the name Ai Yonezawa include "My Italian Cooking" (Shibata Shoten, 2004), "The Italian Cooking Book" (Anonyma Studio, 2007), "The Italian Cooking Book 2" (Anonyma Studio, 2009), "Beloved Plate" (Chikuma Shobo, 2010), and "10 Recipes 30 Volumes" (Rim Art, 2010).

Under her married name, Ai Hosokawa, she has authored "Cookbook" (Little More, 2013), "Soup" (Little More, 2014), "Vegetables" (Little More, 2017), and "The Pasta Book" (Little More, 2017).
