Elizabeth Wheeler

Elizabeth Wheeler, born on June 9, 1717, in Rehoboth, is the earliest identified ancestor in her family lineage. She is the mother of Henry Ingalls, who was born on October 12, 1738, in Cumberland, Rhode Island, and who later resided in Otsego County, New York around 1811. Henry Ingalls is the father of Mehitable Ingalls, who lived from 1764 to 1821. Mehitable Ingalls is the mother of Eliza Ballou. Eliza Ballou is the mother of James A. Garfield, who served as the President of the United States in 1881.
