Introduction
Liu Xiurong, English name Jade, studied in the United Kingdom.
She is the daughter of Hong Kong businessman Liu Luan-hung and Bao Yongqin. Her father, Liu Luan-hung, was born in 1951 in Hong Kong, of Guangdong Chaozhou origin. He studied at a university in Canada in his early years and, after graduating in 1974, returned to Hong Kong to develop his career. Her mother Bao Yongqin is his wife, and together they run the family business. Liu Luan-hung has been ranked as high as 451st on the global rich list, with a net worth of about HK$13.2 billion.
In 1978, Liu Luan-hung and Bao Yongqin founded Ai Mei Gao in Hong Kong, a company mainly producing antique fans, with initial capital of less than HK$500,000. In 1983, Ai Mei Gao went public, with capital reaching HK$175 million. In early 1985, Liu Luan-hung exited his equity in Ai Mei Gao; six months later the stock market fell, after which he returned and achieved profits. Since then, Liu Luan-hung rapidly expanded his capital operations, making several acquisitions. Public records indicate acquisitions including Nanda, Chinese Estates, China Gas, and the Kadoorie group, among others.
According to public information, Ai Mei Gao and related investment activities gradually developed, forming a diversified investment pattern centered on real estate, media, construction, and manufacturing, evolving into a large conglomerate with four listed companies spanning multiple industries. Public sources do not disclose details of Liu Xiurong’s education or career beyond what is publicly available; existing information concentrates on her parents and the history and development of the family business.
