Introduction
Kong Congzhou (October 2, 1906 – June 7, 1991), was born in Baqiao Town, Chang'an County, Xi'an Prefecture, Shaanxi Province (now Shangqiao Zikou Village, Baqiao Street, Baqiao District, Xi'an City). He served as Vice Military Governor of the Republic of China and as a Major General in the People's Liberation Army. A descendant of Confucius, he was a member of the second and third National Defense Commission, a standing member of the fifth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and a member of the sixth National People's Congress Standing Committee.
