Introduction

Prince Yuyong of the Goon Kingdom, Hongqing (September 4, 1724 – March 30, 1769), was the third son of Prince Yuke of the Goon Kingdom, Yongwu. His mother was Lady Bokeda of the Yuanwai Lang, and his secondary consort was Gua'erjia Shi. He belonged to the second generation of the Yuyu Kingdom lineage. Born in the seventh month of the second year of the Yongzheng reign, he succeeded his father as the second-generation prince of the Yuyu Kingdom in the sixth month of the ninth year of Yongzheng. Hongqing passed away in the forty-fourth year of Qianlong’s reign, at the age of 42. His eldest son, Yongjian, inherited the title of the third-generation prince of the Yuyu Kingdom but was subsequently demoted to a beile upon succession.

Family details: His main wife was Lady Yehena La, the daughter of Nalan Yongshou, a Banner officer of the yellow banner and a court gentleman. His grandfather was Kui Fang, and his great-grandfather was Nalan Xingde, a renowned poet and a jinshi of the 15th year of Kangxi. His great-great-grandfather was Nalan Mingzhu. His secondary wife was Lady Wang, daughter of a sixth-grade guard leader. His concubine was Lady Wang, daughter of a third-grade guard attendant.

Children: His eldest son, Yongjian, was born on the hour of Shen (around 3-5 pm) on April 25 of the 31st year of Qianlong’s reign. His mother was Lady Nala, daughter of the court gentleman Yongshou. Yongjian married Lady Erdenbu of the Ili Gyar Jueler clan; his father was Fengnian, a banner officer of the Blue Banner and an Imperial Academy scholar. His maternal uncle was Wencin Gong Heran, a jinshi of the Bingchen year of Kangxi, and his grandfather was Chunshan, a jinshi of the Renchen year of Kangxi.

His second son, Yongle, was born on the eighth day of the ninth month, hour of Mao (around 7-9 am) of the 31st year of Qianlong. His stepmother was Lady Wang, daughter of a third-grade guard attendant.

His eldest daughter was born to his main wife and was engaged in the second month of the 11th year of Qianlong’s reign. She was betrothed to Fuling'an of the Irgen Gyar clan, a second-grade banner banneret, a guard, and vice-commander of the White Banner, with the wedding scheduled for the third month of the 26th year of Qianlong.

His second daughter, a county princess, married Shumulu Erden Bu, whose son was Zalala, a fourth-grade Taji (local noble). His third daughter, born on June 22 in the tenth year of Qianlong, was the daughter of his main wife Lady Nala. In the first month of the 23rd year of Qianlong, she married Jingliang of the Gua'erjia clan, a bannerman of the Plain White Banner; they married in November of the 27th year of Qianlong. In the 34th year of Qianlong, she adopted the civil servant Tuon Duo into her family. In the 45th year, she officially adopted Tuon Duo as a magistrate of the original office and completed the formalities, receiving a license. Jingliang was posted to Liangguang as a military commander in the 42nd year of Qianlong and died in Guangxi in the 52nd year.

The fourth daughter, a county princess, was born to his secondary wife and married around the 38th year of Qianlong to Zalala, son of the Ehan second-grade Taji Gendun Char.
