Introduction

Tang Zhizhong was born in Taiwan to parents who both worked in the entertainment industry. His father worked in production, and his mother is Mandarin-film actress Han Xiangqin. He was born in 1979. At age 14 he went with his family to the U.S. West Coast to attend a boarding high school and joined the school basketball team. While there he achieved some sporting success and displayed the mannerisms and speech of a West Coast teenager.

During a summer break he returned to Taiwan and learned that Channel V was looking for VJs, so he auditioned. The channel liked his international temperament and hired him to host the program "Hot Zone." From then on he began promoting Western music on the show, including hip hop, focusing on introducing the latest international songs.

In 2006 Tang Zhizhong began working in show business and appeared in several TV dramas, including Purple Corner (2002) as Tang Yi, Lucky 100% (2004) as Maji, Goodbye Zhongzhen Village II (2005) as Shao Nianzu, Miko, GO! (2006) as Li Minliang, and My Right Leg (2008) as Zhu Er, serving in important roles in multiple series.

He has also been active on variety shows, hosting programs such as Guoguang Bang Bang Mang, Entertainment 100%, and Dad Is Back (Season 2), demonstrating a diverse hosting style. In addition, he founded a talent agency in 2009 involved in artist management and the entertainment industry.

In his personal life, Tang Zhizhong held an engagement banquet in Taichung on January 17, 2011, and a wedding in Taipei on March 4 the following year. His spouse is Zhang Tingqi (nickname: Xiao Mi). They have two daughters: the eldest, Tang Yijia, was born on July 23, 2011, and the second daughter, nicknamed "Xiangxiang," was born in October 2012. His mother Han Xiangqin also has a background in acting and production.

In May 2007 Tang Zhizhong attracted media attention over allegations of drug use. The incident occurred at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, where police collected his urine and hair samples for investigation. He later issued a statement denying the drug allegations, saying no drugs were found in his home and that he was confident in the test results. His mother also expressed her trust in his innocence.
