Introduction
Jiang's eldest son, Jiang Mianheng, holds a PhD from MIT and has conducted research in high-temperature superconductivity and semiconductor physics. He has held positions including Director of the Shanghai Metallurgical Institute, Vice President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the first President of ShanghaiTech University. In 2003, he served as Deputy Commander of China’s Manned Space Program.
