Introduction

Sun Li, born on September 26, 1982, in Shanghai, is originally from an ordinary working-class family. She began studying dance at the age of five and was recognized for her artistic talent in first grade. She subsequently attended Shanghai Youth Palace to study dance. During her studies, she excelled and consistently ranked among the top students. In 1993, at the age of only 11, Sun Li represented the Shanghai Dongfang Little Partner Art Troupe on tours to countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, and Japan, showcasing outstanding dance skills. At age 15, she was admitted to the Shanghai Garrison Song and Dance Troupe, becoming a member of the military arts group, and represented the troops in various competitions, winning first place in the "All-Army Performance Dance Competition" and the gold medal at the "National Stars Dance Competition."

After graduating from middle school in 1997, Sun Li joined the Chinese People's Liberation Army Shanghai Garrison Amateur Art Performance Troupe. Overcoming the hardships of military training, she performed remarkably and in 1998 participated in the "All-Army Cultural and Artistic Performance," winning first place in dance performance and being awarded a third-class merit. In 1999, she was honored by General Secretary Xi Jinping during the "National Double Support Gala" and was recognized as an "Excellent Soldier." In 2000, Sun Li retired from the military and enrolled at Shanghai Yindu Art School.

After entering the entertainment industry, Sun Li participated in the Singaporean competition "Talented Rising Star" in 2001, winning second place and the Wisdom Award, and signed with Haorun Company, becoming its first artist. The same year, she starred in the modern drama "Yuguanyin," playing the role of anti-drug police officer Anxin. This role earned her several awards, including the Most Popular Actress and the Favorite TV Actress at the 22nd China TV Golden Eagle Awards, officially launching her acting career.

Subsequently, Sun Li starred in numerous television dramas such as "One Meter Sunshine," "Bloody Romance," "Red Powder Family," and "Empresses in the Palace." Her portrayal of "Zhen Huan" in "Empresses in the Palace" gained her widespread recognition both domestically and internationally, and earned her multiple prestigious awards, including the Feitian Award for Outstanding Television and the Magnolia Award for Best Actress at the Shanghai Television Festival. Her career also extends into film and music, including her debut music album "Small Dreams."

Sun Li was raised by her mother, and due to her parents' divorce, she experienced seven years of single-parent family life. In 2005, she met actor Deng Chao while filming the TV series "Happiness Like Flowers," and they married in 2011. The couple has one son and one daughter. She is passionate about charity work, having participated multiple times in charitable donations and environmental protection activities, and has received honors such as "Top Ten Social Welfare Stars."
