Chen Fang

Fang Chen, male, Han ethnicity, was born in September 1963, in Fuzhou, Fujian. He holds Chinese nationality, is a Chinese citizen, and has no permanent residence abroad. He is a member of the Communist Party of China. His educational background includes a doctoral degree in Science from Nanjing University.

Fang Chen began working in August 1983. His early career included positions such as associate professor at Fujian Normal University, Executive Deputy General Manager of Fujian Jiuzhou Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., Vice President of Fujian International Economic and Technological Cooperation Company, and Director and Deputy General Manager of Fujian Zhongfu Industrial Co., Ltd. In August 2000, he started working at Xiamen Xiangyu Group Co., Ltd., serving as Special Assistant to the Group President and General Manager of Xiamen Xiangyu Construction Group Co., Ltd., a position he held until December 2006. From December 2006 to July 2010, he was promoted to Vice President, Director of Xiamen Xiangyu Group Co., Ltd., and Vice Chairman of Xaxin Electronics Co., Ltd. Starting from July 2010, Fang Chen became a member of the Party Committee, Vice President, and Director of Xiamen Xiangyu Group Co., Ltd.

Fang Chen has held several important roles in industry associations and social organizations, including President of Xiamen Logistics Association. On October 12, 2016, he presided over the commissioning ceremony of the Xiangyu Jingu Biochemical Corn Deep Processing Project. In November 2016, Xiangyu Group established Xiangyu Business School at Xiamen International Shipping Center, appointing Fang Chen as Dean. On January 12, 2017, he was interviewed by China National Radio. On March 3, 2017, he became Deputy Party Secretary and President of Xiangyu Group. In January 2018, Xiangyu Group successfully issued $500 million in bonds abroad, with Fang Chen stating that the funds would mainly be used for investment projects in Indonesia. On May 16, 2019, he signed the "Xiangyu Business Development" brand in Xiamen. On September 18, 2019, he was elected Vice Chairman of the Eighth Board of Directors of Xiangyu Group.

In July 2020, Fang Chen conducted training sessions for new employees and unveiled a new employee dining hall at Xiangyu Group. In December of the same year, he resigned from the positions of Vice Chairman of Xiangyu Group and some Board Member roles but continued to serve as a director of the company. In March 2022, he stepped down as President (General Manager) of Xiamen Xiangyu Group and resigned from the Board of Directors in April 2022. In December 2023, Fang Chen was invited to teach "Development and Innovation of Business Models" at Minjiang University. In 2025, he began giving lectures on high-quality development in modern logistics and supply chains.

Fang Chen has received numerous honors, including being named among Xiamen’s Top Talents (Ninth Batch) in 2017, and awarded the title of Labor Model in China's logistics industry in 2020. He has also been recognized as a high-level talent and key introduction talent in Fujian Province.

In terms of social welfare, Fang Chen actively participates in voluntary blood donation, care for children with autism, and efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, he led Xiangyu Group in undertaking significant tasks to ensure the supply of materials during the pandemic. His social roles include serving on the Investment Decision Committee of China Cultural Industry Investment Fund Management Corporation, and he has previously held positions such as President of Xiamen Logistics Association and member of the MBA Teaching Guidance Committee at Xiamen University.
