Gu Yuanxu

Gu Yuanxu, born in 1963, graduated from Beijing Normal University and is the brother-in-law of Ling Jihua. He previously served in the Haidian District Government of Beijing and was later transferred to the commentaries department of CCTV, where he was involved in logistical work for programs such as "Oriental Time and Space," earning high praise for his strong coordination skills. Around 2003, he was temporarily appointed as the deputy director of Ningxia Television Station, then transferred to the Counter-Terrorism Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security. In 2010, he was appointed as the deputy director of the Heilongjiang Provincial Public Security Department and also served as director of the Counter-Terrorism Office. After his temporary appointment, he continued to serve in the position. On December 22, 2014, following the investigation into Ling Jihua, Gu Yuanxu also came under investigation. His last public appearance was on December 5, 2014, after which his information was removed from the Heilongjiang Provincial Government website. Colleagues评价 him as having an average cultural level but high emotional intelligence, strong work ability, and outstanding performance particularly in major event reporting. Additionally, he once chased a thief in Beijing to recover public funds and was praised as a person willing to take responsibility.
