Gerald Wellesley

Gerald Wellesley was the son of Richard Wellesley, 1st Marquess Wellesley, and the grandson of Garret Wesley, 1st Earl of Mornington. Garret Wesley was an Irish politician and aristocrat, and Richard Wellesley was a British politician who lived from 1760 to 1842. Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington, a notable British Field Marshal and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom during 1828–1830 and in 1834, was also the son of Garret Wesley, 1st Earl of Mornington.
