Jedediah Bliss

Jedediah Bliss, born on February 7, 1708, and deceased on November 30, 1777, was the ancestor of Alexander Bliss, an American farmer and tanner who lived from 1753 to 1843. Alexander Bliss was the father of Margaret Bliss, who was born in 1794 and died in 1872. Margaret Bliss was the mother of Margaret Jane Hoyt, born on September 8, 1838, and who passed away on November 1, 1881. Margaret Jane Hoyt was the mother of Ellen Axson Wilson, who served as First Lady of the United States from 1913 to 1914 and was married to President Woodrow Wilson, who was president from 1913 to 1921. Ellen Axson Wilson was the daughter of Margaret Bliss, making Jedediah Bliss a direct ancestor in this lineage.
