Introduction

Wang Ling, born in 1960 in Beijing, China. She was admitted in 1964 to the Performance Department of Beijing Art College (Beijing Art Academy), becoming an undergraduate student at the academy. In the same year, she graduated from Beijing Art School with excellent results. After graduation, all of her classmates from the Performance Department of Beijing Art School were assigned to the Beijing Arts Troupe, where she began her performing career. During her performances, she frequently participated in慰问演出 (慰问演出 - performances for慰问, often charity or慰问 purposes), traveling to factories, mines, and rural areas.

In 1969, Wang Ling transferred to the Beijing People's Art Theatre, initially working at the theatre. Soon after, she began to play important roles in stage drama productions. In 1976, she participated in the revamp of the drama "Teahouse," portraying Kang Dali. This production was a collaboration among actors such as Zhi, Lantianye, Zheng Rong, and Huang Zongluo. That same year, her family welcomed her first child.

Between 1982 and 1985, Wang Ling played important roles in several stage dramas, including "Jiqing Youyu" as the Old Aunt, "The Family" as the Xi Niang (joyful bride), "Red and White Celebrations" as Third Aunt, "Daughter's Journey" as Shimei, "Xiao Jing Hutong" as Liu Sao, and "People of Early Liang" as Granny Guo. Subsequently, she gradually expanded into the field of film and television, appearing in multiple TV dramas.

In 2012, Wang Ling played the adoptive mother Yan Yuyao in the TV drama "孤岛飞鹰" ("Eagle on the Isolated Island"). In 2015, she starred in the TV drama "Flying Tigers," portraying Qin Daniu, the grandmother of Huzi. In 2018, in the TV series "Tianjin Flying Eagle," she played the mother of Ye Hongkai.

Regarding her personal life, in 1964, she met Qian Yurun, a reporter for the International Radio Station, during a慰问演出 at a coal mine, and the two subsequently fell in love. Wang Ling's son's name is Qian Yanqiu.

Wang Ling has an extensive body of work, including television series, stage dramas, and more. Her main TV works include "Tianjin Flying Eagle," "Flying Tigers," "Eagle on the Isolated Island," and "The City Patrol Magistrate and the Troublesome Ghosts," among others. In stage drama, she has performed in works such as "The Death of a Famous Actor," "Gala Hutong," "The Family," "Cai Wenji," and "Ruan Lingyu," playing diverse roles that showcase her versatile acting skills.
