Wang Jun

Wang Jun, female, born in 1973, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Finance at the School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University. She is also the wife of Chinese politician Hu Haifeng.

In terms of education, Wang Jun received her bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Northern Jiaotong University (now Beijing Jiaotong University) in 1995. She later shifted her academic focus to economics, earning a master’s degree in Economics from Peking University in 1998, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Tsinghua University in 2008.

After obtaining her doctorate in 2008, Wang Jun joined the Department of Finance at Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and Management, where she has served as faculty and later as Associate Professor. She has taught courses such as Insurance Economics, Risk Management and Insurance, Life and Health Insurance, and Corporate Finance.

Her main research interests include insurance economics, risk management and insurance, life and health insurance, and corporate finance. Her work spans both theoretical studies and practical applications, contributing to the advancement of the field.

As a scholar, Wang Jun is recognized for her expertise in insurance and risk management. At the same time, her marriage to Hu Haifeng has also drawn public attention to her as a member of a prominent political family.
