Introduction
Hosokawa Nari Mori was a daimyo in the late Edo period. He served as the 8th lord of Uto Domain in Higo Province and later as the 10th lord of Kumamoto Domain in Higo. His court titles included Junior Fourth Rank, Lower Jibu, Echizen no Kami, Sakone no Grei, and Chamberlain. He was the 11th head of the Hosokawa family. His childhood name was Yomatsu. When he was lord of Uto, he was known as Tatemasa Hosokawa.
