Introduction

Xu Xiangqian was born in June 1939 in China and became an important military figure in the People's Liberation Army during the 1950s. Starting in June 1939, he served as the commander of the First Column of the Shandong Eighth Route Army. On September 20 of the following year, he married Wang Jing in Ma Mudao Village in the central area of Yinan, Shandong. Wang Jing was introduced to Xu Xiangqian by Zhu Rui, political commissar of the First Column of the Eighth Route Army, and his wife Chen Ruoke, and they became a couple. In May 1940, Xu Xiangqian was transferred to Yan'an, and Wang Jing accompanied him there. During their time in Yan'an, Wang Jing gave birth to a daughter in 1941 named Xu Luxi, who later became a computer scientist and served at the National Information Center.

In the spring of 1943, Wang Jing entered the second section of the Central Party School. In July 1944, Xu Xiangqian suddenly developed pleuritis and suffered high fever for two consecutive months, becoming severely weak and unable to participate in the 7th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party. After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, his health gradually improved, and by the winter of 1944, he was recovering. In December of that year, Xu Xiangqian and Wang Jing divorced due to personal differences; some sources say they divorced in 1943. After their divorce, their daughter Xu Luxi was raised by Xu Xiangqian. Wang Jing retired in the 1980s and served as a professor at the Party School of the Heilongjiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party.

These events occurred in the mid-20th century and reflect Xu Xiangqian's life changes during the Anti-Japanese War and the post-war period, as well as changes in his family circumstances.
