Jedediah Strong Smith, I was born in 1767 and died in 1849. He was the son of Lt. Col. Seth Smith, who was born in 1736 and died in 1820, and Elizabeth Smith, born in 1703 and died in 1778. Elizabeth Smith was the daughter of Chloe Smith, born in South Hadley, Massachusetts, on November 10, 1762, and died in Brattleboro on February 17, 1847. Chloe Smith was the daughter of Israel Smith, born in Granby, Massachusetts, on April 2, 1739, and died in Bainbridge, New York, on June 7, 1811. Israel Smith was the son of Elizabeth Smith.
