Elizabeth Foley

Elizabeth Foley, who died in 1691, was the mother of Edward Harley, 2nd Earl of Oxford and Earl Mortimer. Her daughter, Margaret Bentinck, Duchess of Portland, was a British aristocrat, naturalist, botanist, and collector who lived from 1715 to 1785. Margaret Bentinck was the mother of William Cavendish-Bentinck, 3rd Duke of Portland, a British politician and prime minister who lived from 1738 to 1809.
