He Wanqi was the biological sister of Macau gambling magnate Stanley Ho Hung-sun, ranking tenth among his siblings. She studied at St. Catherine's Girls' College in Hong Kong. Due to the war, she suspended her studies in 1941 and moved to Vietnam, witnessing the development of the gambling industry there. She married Mai Zhihui but had an extramarital affair with her cousin, Stanley Ho's younger brother, Ho Hongzhang, with whom she bore Mai Shunming and Mai Huiyu. In her later years, her relationship with Stanley Ho grew strained; she was removed from her management position after refusing to transfer shares to Stanley Ho's wife. She claimed that her investments in Macau entertainment were controlled by Stanley Ho, resulting in a significant reduction in her shares. Ultimately, He Wanqi filed a lawsuit against her brother, seeking compensation, and exposed secrets of the family, revealing that Mai Shunming's biological father was Ho Hongzhang. She passed away in 2018 at the age of 95. Due to ongoing legal disputes, her relationship with Stanley Ho was tense during her lifetime, and she was ultimately unable to win her claims.
