Wan Qingxuan (1818–1898), originally from Nanchang, Jiangxi, was a local official in the late Qing Dynasty.
He held several important posts during his career and notably served three terms as the magistrate of Qinghe County (present-day Qingjiangpu District, Huai'an, Jiangsu), with a total tenure of nine years. His governance and conduct earned him recognition, and he eventually rose to the position of Tongzhi (Vice Prefect) of Huai'an Prefecture.
On the family side, Wan Qingxuan was the maternal grandfather of Zhou Enlai. Through his daughter's marriage into the Zhou family, the Wan and Zhou lineages became closely tied, leaving a legacy that connected to one of modern China's most prominent leaders.
Wan Qingxuan's life reflects the career path of a Qing dynasty scholar-official, and his family lineage indirectly influenced modern Chinese history. He passed away in 1898 at the age of 80.
